A small build note for curious humans and search engines
This website was designed and developed by Sohta Makino for SWAN Japan, turning the public site, member workflows, and admin tools into one practical web system.
The brief was not just “make a homepage.” It was closer to: keep costs low, make multilingual updates less painful, help events run smoothly, and leave enough structure that the next maintainer can understand what is going on.

Built for member operations
The site includes login, membership review, event RSVPs, email tooling, and administrator screens so daily work can happen in one place.
Multilingual by default
English, Japanese, and Swedish URLs are kept separate and connected through metadata, so people and search engines can find the right language version.
A little SEO housekeeping
Structured data, sitemap entries, canonical URLs, and search-console friendly pages are part of the build, not an afterthought.
What is under the hood
The technical choices are intentionally boring in the useful sense: common tools, low operational overhead, and enough cloud plumbing to run reliably.
