The Sweden Alumni Network Japan was established in 2018 in close cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo. Despite our relatively short history, we have grown to become over 600 members, making us the fastest growing network in the world in 2019. Our aim is to expand our network further, and most importantly to connect Swedish Alumni in Japan. It is our sincere hope that our network will provide all members an opportunity to maintain close links to Sweden, while getting to know people who share the same background and interest in Sweden.

We are an SI (Swedish Institute) certified organization, which makes us a part of their global network of alumni associations. This gives us an opporuntiy to meet and iscuss with Alumni organizations across the globe, share information, and find inspiration for new kinds of events. Our activities include seminars, workshops, movie nights and networking events. While the board is handling the operational side of the network, we encourage all our members to come to us with ideas! Anyone can hold an event - so please do come to us with any ideas you may have. We are nothing, if not our members.

Membership with our network is free. It is also our ultimate goal to be able to keep most of our events free of charge. This is made possible largely thanks to financial aid from SI, as well as support from the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo.

We hope to be able to grow together with you and establish our position as an inclusive, free and active Alumni Network.
